Mycorrhiza increase nutrient uptake in general and especially the supply of phosphor1. Grasses with Mycorrhiza show more dense growth, more stolons (runners), increased root and leaf growth1.
The best time for Mycorrhiza application is directly with sowing. Mycorrhiza fungi germinate together with the grasses; the plants are protected and vitalized from the start. After 3 weeks first results get visible: The grasses look healthier and greener. The reason is on one site higher chlorophyll content (+60 %2), on the other site grasses with Mycorrhiza show increased leaf growth2.

The name Mycorrhiza is composed of the Greek words mýkēs ('fungus') and rhíza ('root'). Out in nature 'mycorrhizal' species and plant roots form a symbiotic relationship for mutual benefit.
