Organic Elm Oyster- Hypsizygus ulmarius - Grain Spawn
Synonyms: Shirotamogitake, Da Yu Mo
The Elm oyster mushroom is a delicious edible mushroom with a mild, flowery flavour that is often mistaken for oyster mushrooms on the markets. It can be used in the kitchen like oyster mushrooms, but the fruiting bodies are larger and have a slightly more intense flavour.
It turns white to light grey and light brown, depending on the substrate and location
This fresh product is prepared fresh for you to order. The production time is around 3 - 6 weeks.
The mushroom spawn should be processed immediately after delivery.
If the product cannot be processed immediately, it can be stored in the refrigerator at 4 °C for up to 2 weeks.
We recommend that you plan for this when ordering and making your preparations.

Suitable woods are maple, birch, beech, oak, alder, ash, aspen, poplar, elm or willow.
