Organic Pioppino - Agrocybe aegerita - Indoor spawn bag
Synonyms: Black Poplar, The Swordbelt Agrocybe, Yanagi-matsutake, Zhuzhuang-Tiantougu
This delicious edible mushroom with its typical nutty wild mushroom flavour is becoming increasingly popular worldwide, but was also cultivated in ancient Rome. The young fruiting bodies are brownish and hemispherical, later the mushroom cap becomes increasingly flattened and is often somewhat cracked. The mushroom caps sit on elongated stalks with a ring. The flesh is firm and white, with a slightly mealy odour.
This mushroom is extremely versatile: chopped into small pieces and fried in a pan, baked as a filling or refined in a cream sauce. The Pioppino should be harvested at the right time, preferably before the veil breaks. This not only extends their shelf life, but also intensifies their flavor.
This fresh product is prepared fresh for you to order. The production time is around 3 - 6 weeks.
The mushroom spawn should be processed immediately after delivery.
If the product cannot be used immediately, it can be stored in the refrigerator at 4 °C for up to 2 weeks.
We recommend that you plan for this when ordering and making your preparations in accordance with the instructions.
