This casing soil is ready-to-use in most cases, if required in some cases pasteurisation is necessary.
Made of quality peat mixed with lime.
This casing soil is not treated, because certain mushroom species need the required microorganisms for a bountiful harvest (button mushroom, Himematsutake, etc.). Other species require a pasteurisation.
